- Ensure Melbourne's drinking water continues to meet our high quality standards through detailed testing and analysis.
- Work as part of a team on a major research program that will quantify risk in drinking water catchments and reservoirs.
- Be involved in investigations into the water quality impacts of climate change on catchments and reservoirs.
- Be involved in the development of an innovative waste minimisation strategy for our Winneke Water Treatment Plant.
- Work with our stakeholders to ensure new urban development meets stormwater quality standards, enhances our waterways and is protected from flooding.
- Contribute to the preparation of improvement plans, programs and projects for the restoration and protection of our waterways.
- Participate in the life cycle management of major mechanical and electrical engineering infrastructure to ensure ongoing reliability
We are interested in graduates from a wide range of disciplines who are interested in working at Melbourne Water. We are particularly interested in graduates from the following disciplines:
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Science – Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology
- Environmental – Engineering or Science
- Town Planning
- And graduates who have combined their studies in any of the above fields with Commerce, Law, Arts.
